In Summer 2015 we produced a music video for the uprising Upper Austrian Music Band „Mischkultur“.
The song called “Fliagn” appeared on Austrian Radio Stations FM4 Sound Selection 32 and its beat will pump you up. The literature in the song is about being tired of sad things in life and simultaneously an appeal to recognise the wonderful. We wanted to ask the questions: “How you are influenced by your environment? How does it affects you and your personal actions?” To make it visible we decided to work with the genius clown and BIO farmer Josef Lummersdorfer as main character.
. Herman Erber, the bands drummer described Mr. Lummersdorfer pretty well: “Pepi is the nicest guy you will ever met in your life”! In two days our crazy colourful little group rushed through the city of Linz and some fabulous places in the beautiful Mühlviertel region. What we came up with should reflect the great days we had!
“Three days without sleep is quite tough, but with a bunch of extraordinary characters every extra hour you spend awake is a good one. When the 60-year-old Pepi rushed full throttle into that little lake without letting go of the handle bar of his bicycle I was amazed and scared at the same time. Pepi is an incredible personality!”
“Working on the concept and edit I had a lot of creative freedom. There are many shots which made me smile and for me it is a shame that I couldn’t fit them all into the final cut.”
“Shooting this music video was a great way to expand our creative work. We knew we had a three-day time window and just a vague script. So we walked around the city and just tried to film as many creative scenes as possible. On the one hand it was great to do whatever we wanted on the other hand we had so many ideas that we were shooting approx. 20 hours a day and didn’t sleep a lot.”
